LOOK.001 / CONCRETE

I started from two photos of myself, a full-body shot and a portrait, and a 12-second reference lookbook with 55 cuts. Three generated scenes, a parking garage, the inside of a steel stair tower, and the tower from outside, keep my face and the outfit from the photo in every shot. I cut them to the reference's cut grid over its own soundtrack, then added the flashes, tints, and camera shake its edit uses.

The film

The edit opens and closes on a grey photo collage. Two of its three tiles are the real photos the film started from. Between them, every scene was generated: the garage walk and pillar lean, a fisheye squat and a palm pressed toward the lens inside the stair tower, and a climb to the tower's top landing.

How I checked it

I read the reference frame by frame before generating anything, then checked each generated clip for likeness, hands, and outfit before it went into the cut. The finished edit passed a motion comparison against the reference on cut rate, flashes, shake, and camera movement.
